In addition to standard tests for myopia and astigmatism, the exam also includes screening for major eye conditions such as cataracts, retinal issues, and intraocular pressure, making it suitable both before vision correction procedures and for general eye health checkups.
The equipment and test items may vary depending on the clinic. Based on the results, you may be recommended vision correction procedures such as LASIK, LASEK, or SMILE, or further treatment if conditions like cataracts are identified.

The exam typically takes about 1–2 hours, and pupil dilation may be required depending on the tests.
Temporary blurred vision may occur after the exam, so it is recommended to avoid driving on the same day.
If you wear contact lenses, discontinuation is required for accurate results: 3 days for soft lenses and 6 days for toric (astigmatism-correcting) lenses.
